Welcome to PIXELS FOR LIFE!

Hello and welcome to what aims to be a starter kit for people who want to study "something in the media" - in this case, Visual Effects, Animation, Game Production, you name it.

While there now more programs and courses than you can shake a stick at to learn these things (including online ones), what's often missing from their shiny brochures and engineered websites is an actual inside look from the perspective of students who have actually gone through or are still inside such a program.

This blog aims to help people get a general understanding of what life in a VFX-related study course can look like, or better: how me and my peers experienced it.

On these pages, you will find some resources, tips, a fair amount of banter and a bunch of fictional characters. They illustrate both the fun and the madness that goes on within the walls of a university that balances academics with the anarchy and insanity that only happens when a place is run and occupied by creative people.
